This durable shrub tolerates dry soils once establish. It has gorgeous red fall color. Leaves turn a tan color for the winter and stay on the shrub, falling only when new growth emerges in the spring,making it a great screening plant. Recommended for town and village settings, as its robust growth could reseed itself into a woodland environment and it is not native to the US.
